I’m aware that I’ve really not posted anything for the last couple of weeks or so. First I was on holiday, then I was ill and now I’m just kinda recovering from that.

So here’s a truly mini review for you:

I didn’t read much while I was poorly (it was a little hard to focus) but I did read Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb, the first part of the Farseer trilogy. It follows the early-life adventures of Fitz, the bastard son of Prince Chivalry as he navigates his place in the world and begins his training as the King’s assassin. It’s a great, intriguing story, but it is a touch slow to begin with. The characters are intricate and nuanced and the plot is full of mystery, magic and court intrigue. Overall, a must for fantasy fans!
